Info about this Trip

As our inaugural group impact trip to Tanzania this trip will be primarily focus on learning and exploring rather than giving back. Although we may have the desire to give we realize that sometime it is just as important to open yourself up to learning from those with different experience of the world from us. We will begin the trip in Zanzibar learning about the island’s unique and disheartening history being a former slave port, exploring popular cultural sites in Stonetown, as well as relaxing at the beautiful white sand beaches. In Arusha will be learning and working with local women who are apart of a program that empowers disadvantaged women to gain supplemental income through agriculture. We will learn the basic of agriculture, their way of life as well as visit local schools to learn more about Tanzanian educational structures and the most impactful ways to help and give back in the future.
